Railroad PoE Power Supply System Customized Solution

   With the continuous optimization and innovation of PoE technology, customers' application environment and technical requirements for PoE equipment are constantly changing. The application scenario of this case is in the railway / EMU, the solution covers all fields such as a vehicle, trackside, station, etc., providing a safe, reliable, and economical PoE power supply system construction. The product adopts the design concept in line with the rail transit industry standard to ensure the safe operation of the train. The application scenario faces many challenges. In addition to the problems of long lines and many stations for railways and high-speed trains, it brings certain difficulties to the construction of the PoE power supply system, and the requirements for PoE power supply stability are more stringent.

   Due to the particularity of railway/motor train applications, PT-PSE105G-M12 is an industrial-grade PoE power supply with boost function, which conforms to the standard IEEE802.3af/at the protocol and supports 10/100/100OMbps data transmission speed. Equipped with a detection chip inside, which will detect and classify PDs before powering them to protect non-PoE devices. On the basis of this PoE power supply equipment, customized changes are made after communication between the engineers of both parties.

   First, In order to ensure the effectiveness of the PoE injector, we changed the original RJ45 port of the PoE injector to an M12 connector. Modifications make equipment more resistant to contaminants, withstand extreme temperatures, shock and vibration, and stress conditions while providing reliable power output and signal transmission.

   Second, to ensure the line stability, we add fixing screws to the original terminals of the PoE power supply. The plug-in terminal block consists of a metal sheet inside the insulating plastic, and there are holes at both ends to insert wires. In the railway/motor train environment, which requires extremely high stability, it is necessary to add screws for fastening.

   Third, to ensure the firmness of the PoE power supply equipment, we add 4 fixing holes to the original rail-mounted device, which can strengthen the fixing and equipment shock resistance during the train driving.
